Randy & Melody Hemphill, Founders
Our story is one filled with brokenness and healing. Restoration marks our relationship and ministry. We believe that Jesus came for captive, brokenhearted, and needy people just like us and just like you.
We were married in June of 1995. Though we did not realize the full extent of our marriage vows, we made a commitment that we believed had forever all over it. Our individual stories became one story that day, but we did not realize the amount of wounding and struggles that we were each bringing into marriage until several years down the road. Gradually, it became clear that our marriage had cracks in the foundation, and in 2003 the depth of the damage became clear...our marriage was completely broken. It appeared that we had reached the end of our relationship, and the future looked hopeless.
Only the love of Jesus could rescue us from the sinful, broken choices we had made. God exposed us, pursued us, and began to restore us. What we believed was impossible, God saw as possible, and He began a process of restoration in each of us that led to the healing of our marriage.
Brokenness is not a seasonal term for us...it is a daily mindset. It is a call to dependency that keeps us fighting for our hearts and marriage. We are in process. Our story is not complete. We long to experience more and more of all that He has for our lives.
We are blessed to be the parents of 4 wonderful children, and to experience a relationship with each other that is far richer than we ever could have hoped for. We cling to the victory that we have in Christ over the daily battle with the enemy of our hearts. We long to walk in the grace of Jesus the rest of our days.
Randy received his Bachelors in Religion & Christian Ministries degree from Campbell University and Masters of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Beeson Divinity School, Samford University. Melody received her Bachelors in Religion & Christian Ministries from Campbell University as well.
